This is just a quick post to share a few tips for your next trip to Universal Orlando. This post isn’t meant to be a comprehensive list of tips. Rather, it’s just a few things to get you thinking (and excited!) about your trip.
Gringotts Bank Notes
Disney lovers may remember a time when you used to be able to exchange your money for Disney cash to use anywhere in the park. Disney no longer offers this, but guess what? Universal offers something similar. You can trade U.S. currency (your muggle money) for Gringotts bank notes in $10 or $20 denominations and use those notes to makes purchases in Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and other select Universal Orlando locations. Don’t worry about losing the money you don’t spend! Gringotts bank notes can be traded back for U.S. currency at guest services. This isn’t going to make or break your vacation by any means, but it is just a little something that will enhance your experience. Especially for true Harry Potter lovers!
Premier Resorts
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the pricing for Universal’s Premier Resorts. They are so convenient to the parks, have great theming, larger rooms, but, above all, they come with FREE Express Pass Unlimited. That is a great perk that Disney doesn’t match at any of their resorts. If you plan on getting express pass unlimited anyway, staying in a premier resort can save you money! Even if it is just for one night. For that one night, you will have access to Unlimited Express Pass on the day you check in AND on the day you check out. You may be on a budget, but it is always worth checking out.
Early Park Entry
Take advantage of the early park entry and soak up all of the Wizarding World with less crowds. You get access to early entry by staying at any Universal resort on property OR by purchasing your theme park tickets through a travel agent. Remember to bring lanyards, and perhaps a fanny pack! Unlike Disney, backpacks, and even most purses, aren’t allow on most Universal attractions. On the plus side, if you must bring a bag with you, Universal provides free lockers where you can store your goods!
There you have it. 3 short tips for your next Universal Orlando vacation. There are, of course, PLENTY of other things to know before you take your trip to Universal Orlando. But, hopefully, these tips will help you brainstorm more ideas!
